Spammers & Scammers

This page is now updated automatically instead of by hand so it will have less information at a time than it used to but I will post additional information about particularly annoying spammers and hackers and some of the IP ranges that I block on my phpBB. Chinese, Korean and Brazilian IP ranges are banned on sight, even if they just view the member list. Blocking China, Korea and Brazill cut the spam and bogus registrations to my phpBB by 90%. Here is a list of some of the worst domains that I have blocked:

If you found this page, you probably found it because you were googling a user name of one of the same sleazy drug spammers that were flooding my forum with bogus registrations to get the website for their scam in the member list. If so, you can go to my Stop Forum Spammers page to see one of the things I did to stop them.

If the there is no "trigger" listed, someone tried to access my website from one of the 600 million+ IP's that I have blocked. If the same IP is trying every other second then it is some spam-bot or hacker. If a trigger is listed, a spammer tripped one of the 300+ triggers that I have to prevent spammers from posting or registering to my phpBB. Most often this means trying to post drug spam, or porn or using a .ru email address.
