Annotate it with the color you want the font to be. Use Gravity = center and make a note of the font size you use. Be sure to leave room for the glow.
Output it as a .gif and save the URL.
Either use your Back button till you get to the transparent .gif and paint it black or start with a new blank black .gif the same size as the one you just saved.
Annotate it with the same text the same size and same gravity but use the color you want for the glow. If you use stroke color and
stroke width, you can make the letters fatter and make more glow in the final result.
Select Effects and select Spread. For parameter, enter somewhere between 5x5 and 10x10 depending on how big your font is.
Select Effects and select Blur. For parameter, enter the same numbers you entered in the previous step.
Select Composite. Enter the URL of the image with the transparent background. Select Over and Gravity = Center.
Click Transform and select Trimor output it and take it Gifworks to crop or smart crop it and save.
