Make Some Noise

What is noise? Noise is just random specks like what you see when your TV is not tuned into a station. So why would you want to make noise? Because the noise you'll make won't be totally random. By changing the colors and distribution, you can make some noise that you can make into falling snow and custom sparklies.

  1. Make a 100x100 mono-colored .gif.
  2. Using Draw make two lines with the color and stroke color the second color you want. Make one top to bottom and the other side to side and make the width 10.
  3. Go to Resize and put 10x in the box to make it to 10x10.
  4. Go to Output and output it as a .gif. Click on the image. Use our GoTo button th get the URL and copy it.
  5. Hit your back button till you get to where the image is 100x100.
  6. Click Composite. Paste the URL of the little image in the box. Check the box to tile accross. Make sure the menu is set to Over and composite.
  7. Go to Effects, select set for 10x10.
  8. At this point, there are probably more specks than you want ad it will take a little trial & error to get it the wa you want. Blow it up to 400x400 to make the specks easier to click.
  9. Using the paint function, set the Method to Replace, the Paint Type to color and the color to your background color. Start with Fuzz set to 25% and click a speck close to the background color. If it is too much, back up and try a lower Fuzz. If it is not enough, try more Fuzz.
  10. Repeat for the speck color
  11. Reduce back down to 100x100
