Just a brief note. Thank you for your response to my posting on the ng.... it is wonderful to know that for information needs and courtesy that there are people like yourself that respond intelligently and helpfully. Thank you for your step by step easy to follow response, and in the future if I need assistance I know how to get in touch with people who care.
Thanks

Hi Texican, thanks for all the info, I'v copied all of it, it is really interesting. Where do you get all of that info ? I went to some on your help page, you must have spent hours working on that. Have you worked with computers before you got your Webtv?
Have a great day and thanks again.

Thanks again for the help.

Tex,
I don't know if it is proper "netiquette" for me to "reply to a reply" from a posted question within a newsgroup, as I'm sure many would hesitate to help if they thought their mailbox would fill up with thank yous. _But_ I had to send you special kudos for your most helpful website! (If only I had a printer!) I am having to ccp and forward to my email address at work, so I can print there. Your website is, by far, the "newbie friendliest" I have visited yet. You don't assume we already understand the basics. Thank you. Ever thought about writing a book?!
Sincerely grateful,
xxxxxxx
P.S. I have ordered "Webtv for Dummies." It was the best I could do until I get a printer.

Again thank you for your great help.

What a wonderful site. I will never have to go the the NG again for help--I'll just come here. However, I will go back to the group. You see, I'm addicted. If I stay away too long, I start having withdrawals.
I also linked onto Fourthrok's pages.
Spent a good hour in there, too. You both should write a book. Ya'll really put the "Webtv for Dummies" book to shame.
I would have signed your guest book if I could have found it. But I didn't see one so this will have to do.

I just finished printing all your helpful hints and started a loose leaf binder to store them. I've had webtv for over a year, but your website was the first one to motivate me to experiment with the other advantages that webtv offers.
I've got them in a loose leaf binder and I know I'll refer to them many times.....
Thanks again, Bob

Did it help? You bet it did!!!
I can't believe I have had my unit since November 1996 and did not know of the alternate methods to send individual messages.
I bombard congressmen and news media editors with e-mail on a daily basis and have always used the function that WebTV set up years ago. Now it seems they no longer honor this method or else the updating going on is interfering with messages being bounced.
Anyway, I checked out your web site and am very impressed with what you have done.
Thanks a jillion for your response and information. I am putting the new instructions to use right now.

thank you for your reply, I am hpy to say, my pages are back! I had taken images from tv, and thought maybe webtv was punishing me!!
Your help site is very nice, and easy to understand, keep it up! Wish someone like you was around when I got my webtv, I was not net savvy, and t was so confusing, and no one would answer questions like, what is clearing your cache, what is a cache! I actually asked this at least 5 times in adh, and wrote many like 5 people and no one would lower themselves to answer me, if it wasn't a trick, they did not want to help!! I will save your help pages, hope you keep it up too, webtv should pay nice people like you, for taking your time to do something, they should of done!!!
take care

i was looking at it and found something that i've been wondering about.. lot's of good things you have there.
i have to take another look because i think you may have added more since i last went through it. also i like your banner.
i just made my page over again. i put some coding in and couldn't access the index. course it probably didn't matter anyway because i can't add anything else. it just bugged me. again, that's a very informative page you have.

I happened to find your site mentioned in one of the news groups, so I thought I would check it out.
You have kept everything so plain and simple, also you have covered all of things that people NEED to know.
I also found the backgound and text colors go easy on the eyes, when reading your text, Which is hard to say about a lot of sites. Your site had enough info. on it for me to drop two(2) of my other F- keys, and just add your site in their place.......thanks,
Denny

Hello,
I wanted to say "Thank-you" for your really great help pages. I have been looking for some of the things that you had listed on your pages for about a year now. [I guess I didn't look hard enough or I would have found your site sooner]
I think that you have done a great job of setting the pages up. Not only that but, they are so easy to understand. I can see that you have put alot of effort into these pages. Keep up the good work! :-)
I just wish I had come across your pages when I first hooked up my WebTv, it would have saved me all that stumbling through all those different sites and searches just to find out that half of them couldn't be used with the WebTv units.
I will keep checking back for advice, and information. Also I have a few friends that have just gotten WebTV and I will definitely send them to your site for information.
Thank-you again for putting up such a wonderful site! [Oh, I found your site through the newsgroup, while reading posts].
