18. Using Favorites and What Are Those F-keys For?

Each WebTV username (we are allowed a total of six usernames) can have a total of 20 folders, and each folder can hold 32 favorites. That's a grand total of 640 favorites per username, and 3,840 Favorites per WebTV account! (Amazing!)

The first time you press the Favs key on a username, you will notice that two folders have already been created. They are named Personal and Recommended. You may keep these folders and use them, or delete them if you wish and create new folder names.

You can add new folders and name them whatever you like. To create a new folder, follow these steps:

Step 1:

You'll choose Add folder from the left sidebar of the main Favorites
page.

Step 2:

Beside "Folder name," type the name you would like the folder to have. (Hint: shorter names work best)

Step 3:

Using the "right arrow" key, move over to Add and press the Return key.

That's it. You have created a new folder!

A complete set of instructions on using Favs can be found by pressing the Favs key on your keyboard, and then choosing "Help" at the upper, right-hand corner of the screen (even information about how to delete a Fav from a folder, or how to delete an entire folder.)

Information about saving your Favorite web sites onto F-keys is next.
