19. Adding "Back to Home" Links in Page Builder
If you've already added Page Breaks, and you want to add a Back to Home link at the bottom of your web pages, it's very easy to do. Here are 7 simple steps to follow.
Step 1.
First, go to your Page Builder and choose Change Page.
Step 2.
Choose (click onto) the Page Break which is immediately after the page on which you want to place the link. Do this by placing the yellow box around the Page Break. Then, hit Return.
Step 3.
Note the item number of the Page Break. You will use that information in a few minutes! (It may say something like "item 4 of 59", or something like that. Remember the number 4, or whatever number it says.
Step 4.
Hit your Back key, and then scroll to the top and choose Add an Item. Next, choose Links.
Step 5.
You will see two columns of "boxes." In the top box on the left, put something you like, for instance Home, or Back to Home, etc. In the space on the right, which begins http:// , you put in the URL of the main page you want to link back to. (Don't place anything in the Title box at the very top of the page.)
Step 6.
After you've entered the information, go to the bottom of the page, but don't click onto Done yet. Notice the "move up" and "move down" buttons at the lower left of the screen. Now is when you "move" the Back to Home link to it's final resting spot on your web site. Remember that number from a little earlier. You must "move" this link by choosing "move up", or else the Back to Home will be automatically placed at the very end of your website. If that number you were remembering was 4, then move the link to Item 3 (of 59). Then click over to Done.
Step 7.
Choose Publish on the left sidebar. You're finished!
It's a good idea, at this point, to view your website, and see if the link has been placed correctly. It can always be moved if you have it placed in the wrong spot. Also, check to see that the link works, just in case you made a typographical error when entering the URL.
