5. Can I Retrieve Discarded Mail?

There are actually two types of discarded mail.

One type is mail which you have sent to the "Discard" folder by choosing Discard. The other type is mail which you have deleted from the Discard folder.

When you open an email, read it, and then discard it, it is retrievable for 4 or more days. If you have chosen to discard an email from your Discarded mail folder, then it is gone forever.

It is possible you have never turned on your Saved, Sent, and Discarded features.

If you haven't done this, then go to Mail, then click on Settings, and then click on Extras. Then click on the box which says "Create a storage area for your saved, sent, and discarded messages.

Click on Done, then click Done on the next screen. You will be returned to your Mail list, where the word Storage will now appear on the left sidebar.

Choose Storage and then choose Discarded. At this time, you may find the discarded email you are looking for. You may open it, then choose Save on the left sidebar, and it will remain in the Saved Mail folder until you are ready to discard it.
