Information

• This tool uses HTML Tidy to repair HTML errors.
• This tool will recognize WebTV's audioscope, sidebar and spacer.
• If an attribute is repeated, only the first one is retained.
• The document tree and attributes will be indented in the output for readability.
• HTML Tidy is not infallible. The more mistakes you have on your page, the more likely HTML Tidy will make a mistake.

Instructions

1. Enter a URL. Input type and output type are optional. and Doctype are optional. If you don't make a choice, Tidy will select for you.
2. XML output does not seem to work yet but XHTML does.
3. Check Clean and Tidy will strip out surplus presentational tags and attributes replacing them by style rules and structural markup.
4. Click Validate and a list of errors, warnings and corrections that Tidy will make will be displayed above the original source code with the lines numbered followed by the fixed code in a textarea for preview.
5. Check it over for errors.
6. Click Display to see how the output looks.
